Great design happens when likeminded individuals collaborate and share ideas. In this spirit, we design, ‘in the round’, our diverse inhouse team working directly with our clients to develop multi-faceted, innovative design solutions. We support this collaborative process with the latest CGI imagery and 3D modelling, enabling the Chesneys team and client to stay on the same page throughout. Design doesn’t start and end at the drawing board for us, rather evolving throughout the project, resulting in beautiful work and delighted clients.
Material selection is a key consideration when embarking on any project, particularly where natural materials are concerned. When you work with Chesneys, you are buying access to the best materials available; individually tested to your projects’ specification, CE certified and traceable back to source.
We encourage our clients to come and visit our factories, to view their materials prior to manufacture and witness our process first hand. Each project is unique and has its own story; we want our clients to be part of that journey.
We only use ‘block materials’ for our projects, acquiring block and sister blocks from the same quarry seam. This ensures absolute consistency of manufacture across your project, be it a single staircase or a broader scheme incorporating flooring, fireplaces and other components.
Each project is fully site surveyed, designed in 3D and supported by the latest CNC technology to ensure 100% accuracy. Once each individual step, tile or surround has been cut and profiled, we hand finish the stone and dry fix the elements at the factory to match conditions on site, thereby ensuring a seamless installation.
The installation is key phase of any project when all the hard work and preparation comes to fruition. Led by our specialist project managers, our installation teams have a wealth of knowledge and experience to consistently deliver a first-class product on time and on budget.
From carefully co ordinating delivery and transportation of each stone to the working area onsite, through installation to final inspection and protection, we take ownership of the entire process.
