The mantel has an inverted breakfront mantel shelf with tiers of finely carved egg and dart and lamb's tongue above an entablature with panels of convent sienna flanking a projecting centre tablet and corner blockings inlaid with panels of Sicilian Jasper. The pilasters are also inlaid with Jasper and raised on statuary plinth blocks.
